Living abundantly is living without fear.
But wait – perhaps it’s wiser to define what I aspire towards rather than what I’d rather avoid.
Living abundantly is living in the presence of love and intimacy, living in a state of observation and contentment, cultivating and creating beauty. It is a state of relaxed, focused attention, not the distracted anxiety of a million thoughts at once.
Abundance is self-acceptance and self love.
Abundance is the knowledge, faith, and confidence that the universe can provide more – enough, that the only scarcity arises when human beings are in conflict – which can be resolved by understanding, creativity, love, trust, compassion, generosity, and awareness.
Abundance is the awareness that there is plenty of time – both for plans and spontaneity, for learning, growing, earning, loving, and discovering.
Living abundantly is
having:
- the time and money to explore the deepest, most fulfilling, joyful, enriching parts of my heart.
- the capacity to forgive people for their shortcomings.
- an abundance of energy, confidence, and willpower to communicate with people who have a scarcity mindset.
- the resources, intelligence, interest, and a ability to solve problems.
- the freedom to pause throughout the day.
- the courage and skill to ask, hear the word ‘no,’ and knowing what to do with the answer. Having optionality, agency, and choice.
cultivating:
- the skills of unattached, loving, present, awareness.
recognising:
- the value of thrift.
being:
- able to travel the world, knowing that my assets are being lovingly attended.
- able to learn new skills.
enjoying
- the process of creation: writing, photography, poetry, food.
making:
- choices that create growth in both the present and the future.
acknowledging:
- the duality of human nature, that cheats and liars exist, without being afraid of self-interest, deception, or laziness.
knowing:
- that the present is all there is.
