Juggling a football with the local boys on the loose sand at Mandrem beach, trying tricks and flicks, bashful, hoping the ball will obey.
It is a bouncy jog to Ashwem and back, slowly, then gently accelerating, noticing the sirens gathered from across the world, seeking bliss in the solitude of this motion.
It is eight muscle-ups (kipping of course) on the bar at HPM, explosive, after the job, inspired by Glenson and Chhab's clean reps.
Fitness is the endurance, the focus, the 20 minutes a day, for the past 15 years – and for the rest of my life.
It is the freedom to try something, to do something, today, for my body. It is the courage to resist the stasis, to challenge myself, to listen, to embrace my own physicality, and celebrate the fact that I am not my mind.
